Dong Bei Region (Nth East China)

Heilongjiang is China's most northern province. During the winter months transport becomes a problem due to the subarctic winds and snow that thrash the country side.

Harbin is the capital of this barren region and is located on the Songhua River. Harbin is a lovely Chinese city with some wonderful Russian architecture .

Wudalianchi is renown with the Chinese and Russians as a health spot it also houses volcanos. (the most recent eruption being 1720). Most people enjoy the mud packs and mineral springs that this city has to offer. The train ride to Wudalianchi will take you approximately (6) six hours from Harbin.

Mohe is China's most northern city the main attraction here is the Northern Lights. It has also recorded China's lowest temperature of -52 degrees or -62F in 1965.

The climate in China is so often varied. It experiences extreme cold during winter and the unbearably hot during summer, the warmest regions being in the south. During summer you can experience heavy down pours.
