St Paul's Church was designed by an Italian Jesuit and was built in 1602 by the Japanese refugees. All that remains of this grand church is the facade and the stairway. There is a museum that exhibits some of the artefacts that were saved these are located at the rear of the church.Kun lam Temple was dedicated to Kun Lam and dates back 400 years.
Guia Fortess is the on the highest point of the Macau Peninsula and houses a 17th century chapel. Also built on top of this fort is a lighthouse and is the oldest of its kind on the China coast.
A Ma Temple takes its name from the Ming Dynasty and stands at the bottom of Penha hill. This is considered by the boat people as sacred, as pilgrims come here each year during April and May.
